Green gourds ready for the ancient Hawaiian method of drying from the inside out.  As the gourds dry the tannin water (or coffee) is drawn from the inside to the outside.  This leaves the peeled images dark (or black) resulting in beautiful works of art.  When done properly, you can't tell how the images got there, as the whole gourd is sanded smooth.  These gourds need months to cure.  We then will be selling them as lamps, etc.  These will have elaborate detailed inlays and carvings and will be fine pieces of decor.  Visit our site in a few months!
